Who is not a good candidate for brow lamination?
The formula we use is safe and does not cause any permanent damage to the eyebrow follicles. The process works by restructuring the hair but should be only done by a trained professional.
Essentially, the process is the same as applying a perm to your eyebrows.
If you have one of the following conditions you may not be the right candidate for brow lamentation:
- Psoriasis/ Eczema
- Recent eye surgery
- Take blood thinners
- Alopecia
- Recent application of permanent make up
- Sunburned skin
- Ultra-sensitive skin
- Scar tissue in the treatment area
- Pregnant/Breastfeeding
- Brow growth serums
- Pink eye
- If you have had brow henna within the last 10 weeks
Is there any required aftercare?
Yes, there is. It is recommended that you do not touch or wet your brow for twenty-four to forty-eight hours after the treatment. You will also want to avoid exfoliating or tanning solutions to the area as well.
We will also provide a lacquer balm that you should apply to the treatment area, as well as you will need to comb the hairs into place. Both of those regimens will need to be done daily, we recommend before bedtime.
Please do not wear any makeup at least a day before your first treatment.
