How does photo rejuvenation work?
Pulsed light penetrates deep into the subdermal layers of your skin and stimulates the natural healing process. This light damages the pigmentation spots and broken capillaries causing them to break up and be reabsorbed by your body. Initially, the treatment area may appear darker, but gradually lighten to leave a more balanced skin tone, giving you younger and more beautiful skin.
What is the procedure like?
A cold gel is applied to the treatment area and a handpiece containing the laser is applied to the skin to deliver the laser treatment. The treatment typically lasts between twenty and forty minutes and is not painful.
What other skin conditions can be treated?
- Rosacea
- Broken Capillaries
- Hyperpigmentation
- Large pores
- Sun-damaged skin
- Wrinkles and fine lines
- Sun and age spots
- Vascular lesions
How fast are the results?
You will begin noticing results at the end of your treatment, but full results may take a month after the initial treatment. You will see healing within the skin like redness, blotches, age and sunspots gradually disappear.
Multiple treatments will likely be required to achieve the desired result. Most clients undergo three to six treatments at four-week intervals.
Are there side effects?
You will likely notice redness in the treatment area following the procedure. In some cases, blisters, swelling, and crusting may also develop post-treatment. However, these naturally diminish after two to three days.
It is important to know that the treatment area is sun sensitive. It is important to avoid direct sunlight for the days following your treatment. Also avoid other UV sources such as tanning beds. If you must be out in the sun it is recommended to cover the treatment area with sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher.
