Botox & Dysport
Stop the aging process in its tracks
One of the main causes of wrinkles in your face is when the muscles expand and contract in a repeated fashion. This is caused by the various expressions we communicate throughout our day, every day, over many years. The cumulative effect of which is lasting lines in your face that may deepen with age.
At Laser Beauty and MedSpa Center, we offer both Botox and Dysport treatments that can eliminate deep wrinkles and tighten and relax the facial muscles to prevent additional wearing and damage to the skin. Both Botox and Dysport are FDA-approved, safe and effective remedies that can fight the aging process and can be used in conjunction with other subdermal treatments such as Restylane & Juvéderm.
What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?
Both are very similar as both products make use of the botulism toxin, a neurotoxic protein that can be safely injected in small amounts for cosmetic purposes.
Where they differ is primarily where they treat. Dysport is perfect for use in your eyebrows such as treating the lines between your brows known as your glabellar lines.
Botox is best used to treat wrinkles such as crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, and laugh lines.
The other area where they differ is in the amount of neurotoxin they use. Dysport typically uses more of the toxin, however, it is important to know that more does not equal better. Botox is best used for treating mild to moderate wrinkles while Dysport can treat moderate to severe frown lines.
How long does it take to work and how long do they last?
Most patients notice that Dysport is quicker acting and will start seeing improvements within two to three days. Those who take Botox as treatment often see results after a week with both injections reaching peak results at about two weeks. Both Botox and Dysport will lose effect between three and four months.
You can come in for touch-up treatments that will prolong the longevity and youthfulness of your appearance.
What is the process?
The process is relatively simple – our skincare specialists will use a thin needle to inject Botox or Dysport into your muscles. It usually only takes a matter of minutes depending on the number of treatments required.
Are there any side effects?
